This painting is a copy of Tang Yin's "Viewing Plum Blossoms", which depicts a lady standing on a stream bridge, with two plum trees in bud on the cliff behind her. The composition of the entire painting draws on the courtyard style of the Southern Song Dynasty, seeking victory in danger, with thick and thin outlines of mountains, rocks and trees. Appropriately, there is more blending than smearing. The clean and crisp brushwork and the quiet background create a noble image of the main character. This is Tang Yin's work after his middle age.
