This painting uses a silver paper plate and a meticulous line drawing technique to outline a modern lady and a dog. The background is painted with Chinese painting pigments and water. The artist used realistic brushstrokes to draw the close-up scene, and used the splashing technique of Chinese painting. The artist deliberately created a romantic dreamscape atmosphere, as if they were lovers.
