This painting is a copy of Hua Yan's "Green Feathers and Singing Picture", depicting the noisy scene of blooming flowers and joyful birds in spring. A modern woman has been added to the painting who is enjoying the scene. The painter uses the vivid forms of birds and fresh colors to create a bright spring atmosphere. The ink on ancient cypresses, bamboos and stones is dignified and unrestrained, the birds are neatly and meticulously painted, and the flowers are painted with boneless techniques. They are both technical and writing, but the protagonist is the lady playing the guqin. Although the birds sing happily, the lady is not distrubed and simply enjoy the sound of the guqin playing to herself.
